Grandparents Day 2015
How are you going to celebrate Grandparents Day 2015? The national observance of the special holiday is on September 13th, and is the perfect time to show grandma and grandpa just how much you care.
Grandparents Day is the brainchild of Marian McQuade, who started the campaign for the holiday in 1970. However, it was not until 1978 that the United States Congress passed legislation that proclaimed the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day.
There are many ways to celebrate Grandparents Day, including spending time with your grandparents or visiting elderly care facilities and listening to the thousands of stories that the residents have about the past.
