Stress Tips

Stress cannot only make your emotions low, but they can also have seriously harmful effects on your physical health. There are many physical issues that are linked to stress, including diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, headaches, asthma, and more. Luckily, there are many ways to combat your stress throughout the day, including:

  • Look up – when nothing is going right, take a minute and head outside for some fresh air. Taking just a couple minutes to look at the sky can help reset and refresh your mind.
  • Practice gratitude – write down what you are grateful for each day on your calendar or in a journal. A positive attitude can help to brake the fight or flight response that your body experiences when stressed.
  • Limit your technology – having your smartphone on you at all times does not allow you to get away from the stress of the day. Instead, set limits on how much and when you use your phone to help disconnect.
