Summer Safety
As the summer season comes to an end, you are probably trying to squeeze in a couple more parties before the weather cools down. Keep these summer safety tips in mind to ensure that your party does not end in disaster.
- Watch the deck – if your backyard deck is the setting for your party, make sure that you are aware of the weight capacity and make sure that there are no structural issues before inviting over your friends.
- Grilling safety – keep your grill at least three feet away from your house and any other structures on your property. You should always have a bucket of water, or a fire extinguisher nearby when grilling.
- Fire pit considerations – fire pits are a great way to enjoy your backyard all night long. However, they can also become very dangerous if they are not properly maintained. Never leave a fire pit burning without the proper supervision and make sure that it is completely extinguished before you head inside.
